Standard Metal Bases for Auto Distillation Analyzers

These metal bases are supplied with Viton O-Rings and are manufactured to exact specifications of instrument manufacturer. The Viton O-rings can be attacked and swell with rinsing solvents (acetone), and we therefore list below Solvent Resistant O-rings made of a perfluoroelastomer, but also recommend the “Safety Bases” as a better solution.

Solvent Resistant O-Rings (SRO) for Standard Metal Bases

These are the perfluoroelastomer O-rings that are resistant to most organic solvents and will not swell and freeze when inside the glass receiver. These are pricey, but a safer alternative to injury when attempting to deal with base frozen inside receiver.

Ramin’ Metal Safety Bases for Auto Distillation Analyzers

These Stainless Steel bases listed below are an innovation by Ramin’ intended to reduce the potential for injury and end the frustration of metal bases frozen in the glass receivers. We machine these in our plant with a thin sheath over the O-ring plug, which provides a leak-free seal, protects the O-rings from swelling, and permits the base to be easily and safely inserted and removed from the receiver with significantly less danger of injury.

Mystic Gunk Cleaner

The Mystic Gunk Cleaner amazingly cleans hydrocarbon gunk from distillation flasks. Simply pour the package of powder into the gunked up flask, fill it with plain water, shake to mix, and allow it to set overnight. The next day, shake and see if all the gunk is gone, and if some remains, let solution set one more night – but no more. Rinse flask with clean water, dry, and it is ready to use. Works on both Borosilicate and Quartz flasks.
